High Speed Rail in the

Various proposals for High Speed rail passenger links are now being examined. These are generally State sponsored under Federal initiatives. Trains which may run on these lines in future could be operated by Amtrak or by other companies set up for the purpose.

• Brightline West Los Angeles to Las Vegas
• California High-Speed Rail San Francisco to Anaheim, with later branches to Sacramento and San Diego
• High Desert Corridor link line between Brightline West and California High-Speed Rail
• North Atlantic Rail New York to Boston
• Southeast Corridor Washington DC via Richmond GA and Raleigh NC to Atlanta GA, with a branch from Richmond to Hampton Roads; separate eventual planned extensions from Raleigh and Atlanta to Jacksonville FL (No website located at present for complete project, but see website for DC to Richmond segment)
• Texas Central Dallas to Houston
