High Peak Junction is located on the A6 between Whatstandwell and Cromford, but car park access is off the minor road between Cromford and Lea.
CAR: use the Pay & Display car park off the Cromford to Lea Road. Approaching from the Cromford direction the car park is well signposted; approaching from Lea the entrance is not so clear. Keep a sharp look out on the left shortly after passing Lea Bridge.
SATNAV: DE4 5AD
This is a convenient nearby postcode that can be entered into your car’s satnav. It is not necessarily the postcode where the dressings are located
BUS: On A6: Every Day: hourly from Derby, Cromford, Matlock, Bakewell and Buxton. On Lea Road: Tuesdays to Saturdays: hourly from Matlock, Cromford and Crich; every 2 hours from Alfreton and Ripley. Sundays and Bank Holiday Monday: no service.
For bus services in Derby, Derbyshire and the Peak District, see the Derbyshire Public Transport website. Various Day Tickets are available giving unlimited travel during the day on buses (and in some cases trains) in the relevant area. For bus services outside Derbyshire see Traveline.
CYCLE: the site is near the junction of the Derwent Valley Heritage Way and the High Peak Trail.
