This Calendar aims to bring together all the available information regarding Derbyshire Well Dressings for the current year. If an event is omitted, it is simply because I have not been informed about it! Please help by letting me know of any events, or changes to events, that may come to your attention.
The list is derived from various sources. Whilst I have taken every care to ensure accuracy, I regret I cannot take responsibility for any errors. I have endeavoured to confirm the details of all events with the organizers but in some instances this has simply not been possible. Even where events have been confirmed, neither I nor the organisers can be responsible for last minute changes or cancellations caused by circumstances beyond our control.
Flower Festivals: only those Festivals which are thought likely to include a Well Dressing are shown here. For a more complete listing of Flower Festivals in Derbyshire, please refer to the Diocese of Derby website.

The detailed descriptions of the venues given on the individual village or town pages elsewhere on this site are based for the most part on my personal experience in past years. Naturally, I cannot guarantee that the details will be precisely the same for the coming year.
The date and time listed under "Dedication" in most instances refers to a Blessing Ceremony, but a few venues now have a secular Inauguration ceremony instead. Where there is a Blessing, there may or may not be an accompanying Church service.
The dates and times listed under "Wells in the Making" are those when you can see the Well Dressings being made, and in many cases participate yourself. For details of the venues, see the individual village pages. These dates and times may be subject to change as circumstances dictate. Where possible, you are advised to check in advance with the organisers. Large parties should always check in advance, as space at the venues where dressing takes place may be limited.
